In the back pain world there are standardized medical tools such as the Back Pain Disability Index (Oswestry) and Northwick Park Neck Pain Questionnaire (NPQ) developed to measure disability and pain while interviewing patients. Using these instruments, and combining 16 years of clinical practice and the education of a back specialist, Dr. Burton has identified key areas that may help determine a patient’s risk for developing pain.
